Investigating dual drug loaded PLGA nanocarriers for improved efficacy in endometritis therapeutics

نویسندگان

چکیده

Modern endometritis therapeutics may require an extremely precise and controlled drug release system. Poly lactic-co-glycolic acid (PLGA) microspheres loaded with two different drugs like amoxicillin vancomycin were prepared their efficacy in management of murine model was examined. Such biological nanocarriers are need the hour since they biodegradable, cytocompatible, hemocompatible easily formulated. The sizes PLGA ranged from 65–100 nm. electron microscopy images depicted them as uniform spherical structures. zeta potential polydispersity index calculated vitro investigation indicated steady over a period 50 h at effective dosage. found be cytocompatible hemolysis test elaborated that met rate safety requirements. models induced by intravaginal administration bovine uterine isolates. mice sacrificed histopathogical examination endometrial slides stained haematoxylin eosin revealed nanospheres helped reducing acute very short time. This study thereby demonstrated well described synthesis approach which further transferred to preclinical laboratory studies.

Cannabinoid derivate-loaded PLGA nanocarriers for oral administration: formulation, characterization, and cytotoxicity studies

CB13 (1-Naphthalenyl[4-(pentyloxy)-1-naphthalenyl]methanone)-loaded poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) nanoparticles (NPs) were produced by nanoprecipitation and tested for their in vitro release behavior and in vitro cytotoxicity assays. The effects of several formulation parameters such as polymer type, surfactant concentration, and initial drug amount were studied. NPs had a particle size 90-300 ...

Enhancing the Efficacy of Drug-loaded Nanocarriers against Brain Tumors by Targeted Radiation Therapy

Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is a common, usually lethal disease with a median survival of only ~15 months. It has proven resistant in clinical trials to chemotherapeutic agents such as paclitaxel that are highly effective in vitro, presumably because of impaired drug delivery across the tumor's blood-brain barrier (BBB). In an effort to increase paclitaxel delivery across the tumor BBB, we li...

In this study a 3-factor, 3-level Box-Behnken design was used to prepare optimized docetaxel (DTX) loaded pegylated poly lactide-co-glycolide (PEG-PLGA) NPs with polymer concentration (X1), drug concentration (X2) and ratio of the organic to aqueous solvent (X3) as the independent variables and particle size (Y1), poly dispersity index (PDI) (Y2) and drug loading (Y3) as the responses. The cyto...

Highly penetrative, drug-loaded nanocarriers improve treatment of glioblastoma.

Current therapy for glioblastoma multiforme is insufficient, with nearly universal recurrence. Available drug therapies are unsuccessful because they fail to penetrate through the region of the brain containing tumor cells and they fail to kill the cells most responsible for tumor development and therapy resistance, brain cancer stem cells (BCSCs). To address these challenges, we combined two m...
